Story
First off, thank you for visiting The Long Island Comedy House! This project was created by two native Long Islanders, John Selle and Nick Tardo, who were born with a passion for Stand-Up Comedy. We have one goal in mind: change the landscape of Stand-Up Comedy on Long Island. For years, we have performed all over the five boroughs, learning the positives and negatives of running comedy shows. New York City comedy is often referred to as the Mecca of the industry and we want to recreate that magic every show. We want to utilize all of the good and bad to run the most success comedy shows on Long Island. At a LICH show you'll feel as if you're at a primetime New York City Comedy Club. Ultimately, this is to provide audiences and comedians alike the opportunity to support and love comedy. What is the difference between us and traditional comedy clubs?
We noticed as comedians and most importantly fans of comedy that the landscape of comedy shows were becoming outdated. At LICH, we produce shorter, fast-paced, and most importantly affordable shows not offered at traditional comedy clubs. Our line-ups are curated from the best up-and-coming and nationally headlining comedians, so that audiences may see their next favorite comedian while also watching their current favorites. Allowing a place for Comedians to grow into their voice.
